Magnet Verify SaaS as of 2026-07-05

New Features

  • Magnet Verify now decodes several Apple Core Media Metadata (mebx) track types found in QuickTime videos recorded on iOS devices. Metadata tracks are identified structurally rather than by track position, allowing supported metadata to be detected regardless of where it appears in the file. Supported decoders currently include video orientation, segment identifiers, face detection metadata (including face IDs, bounding regions, roll angle, and yaw angle), and cinematic audio parameter data. Apple Core Media Metadata tracks whose metadata keys are not currently supported for decoding are not expanded into decoded sample-level output. Large or malformed metadata tracks automatically fall back to a table-level representation to maintain parser performance and reliability. This information will now be available in the Time-based Metadata section of the File Examination Results page. - MET-884
  • Usability improvements for in-app file results reviewing, including the addition of a "next file / previous file" button within the project when viewing a file (which helps users by removing the need to click back to a project to continue reviewing files within a project); auto-sort by filename by default in the project files list; and persistent user selections for sort and number of results per page on the project files list. - MET-984
