Generative AI, deepfakes and digital disinformation mean that every image, recording and screenshot used in an investigation will eventually be challenged. Think of MeaFuse as a digital evidence bag. Just as bagging and sealing a physical exhibit protects it from interference, MeaFuse seals every digital file at the point of capture – and if so much as a single pixel is changed, the certification is voided and the tampering is instantly detectable. Developed by a team with backgrounds in UK policing, including delivery of the Home Office's Digital Intelligence and Investigation programme, MeaFuse is built around how investigators actually work.
For government departments, MeaFuse provides defensible records across vetting, compliance, inspections and casework. Digital material can be captured or received with authenticity guaranteed from the point of creation, verified through the MeaFuse app or API, and stored in encrypted folders with individual user permissions – reducing reliance on costly deepfake detection.
For police forces, MeaFuse turns every officer's existing phone into a sealed evidence-capture device. Crime scene photography, video and audio, victim and witness statements and supplementary footage are all secured on the spot and shared instantly with investigation teams – with no memory cards, evidence bags or physical media to log and track.
For investigators, MeaFuse captures fully rendered web pages and social media feeds – with the required metadata – before content is deleted or edited, preserving open-source evidence in a form that stands up in court or at tribunal.
How it works:
